Sea Cucumber

By using techniques of folding and twisting malleable materials such as memory foam, this project was the beginning in a investigation of fashion, fabrics, and soft material. It started as a 45' long piece of high density memory foam. Labeled, Etched, Skewed, Dipped and Wrapped. The piece is handmade and then record for process. In turn, it is translated via step by step process into a digital process. Vectors become foam, Skewers become polygons, and the Fabric remains similar. Inevitably, whether airport, digital model, sculpture, the project looks to explore methods of containment, twistedness, and the wrapped body. Oddly contained wrapped familiarity.
